If you do not recharge your body enough every day, you’ll adapt to that low level of energy you have by picking up tasks that are matching that low level of energy. That is, you will aim for or choose easy tasks that do not necessarily lead you anywhere, because you’re already too tired to choose more difficult or energy demanding tasks. Remember how many things you didn’t do although you had the motivation just because you were too tired to do them.
Important point to note. If you are having trouble sleeping, it might be because you aren’t working hard enough when you’re awake.
Remember: It’s not about how long you sleep, but it’s about being fully recovered and recharged when you wake up. Always sleep until fully rested, no matter how long that takes. Only wake up when you feel you can no longer sleep, and can do anything after you wake up.
Sleep is great, but it’s not the only thing that you need to recover and recharge. There’s also pure resting sessions, regeneration sessions, and meditation. These other mechanisms are only performed when you’re awake. In rest you simply do nothing at all. In regeneration you do something that does not qualify or cannot be described as work. In meditation you give yourself a clearance to think about anything uninterrupted.
