Do not waste the first few minutes or couple of hours of the day doing any kind of general morning routine that could basically be easily done in your down time. You wake up with energy because you have been sleeping for hours prior to waking up. Not putting that kind of energy into best use to advance your work, career, or life to the next level gives your body a signal that you don’t have to work so hard trying to generate such levels of energy while sleeping, and hence insomnia, and feeling tired all the time while you’re awake for no reason, from the beginning of the day, even if you didn’t do anything serious or hard this day. Why would your body give you energy if you don’t use it? Also as time passes by, you begin to process what happened earlier through the day. When the results of the processing reveals to you that you have successfully wasted 3 hours so far without making any difference in your life or at removing the obstacles standing between you and having a normal life, albeit the dream life you always wanted, that is assessed as a colossal waste of not just energy, but time. In so far you’ve reached nothing new or worthwhile since you woke up from sleep today. That leads to your levels of reward being on the negative.3d
Day: September 26, 2020
Do not dismiss any method that could get you ahead in the game.
Adopt that whatever it takes mentality or mindset. Don’t be a prisoner of your own rules.
A lot of the time you feel that you are against a lot of principles, tips, tools, methods, and advice that could help you reach the outcomes that you desire. Disregard your emotions in this area. Focus on getting the results you want. Amass more weapons, tools, and options in your arsenal. I understand that you have principles that you want to stick to through thick and thin. Integrity. Morality. A philosophy. That is okay. But without enough flexibility, and enough wisdom to be okay with doing stuff that is inconsistent with your identity, you’ll always be outplayed by those who don’t have anything to lose. The core message here is do not dismiss a piece of advice, a technique, or a tool that could be massively helpful or useful for you in life or in your work, just because it’s not in alignment with what you deem or describe as perfect or your preferred stance on anything. This is of course as long as you are not doing anything that is absolutely wrong in and of itself. For example, I believe that I should not substitute the truth for any kind of delusion that would make me more powerful. That said, I still have no problem with motivating myself by telling myself in front of the mirror I’m the best there is. I’m utilizing the technique of positive thinking and mindset to achieve greater results in life, even though I firmly believe that I should always focus on taking action that could make a difference in the external real world, because the problem isn’t because I’m negative, it’s the environment or circumstances that I’m stuck in. That’s flexibility that will make you unstoppable, because it makes you accomplish goals through a whatever it takes mentality, as opposed to rigidity that makes you refuse to take advantage of any opportunity, because you’d rather be right than actually win. If it works, then what the hell are you waiting for?3d
You don’t have to have a work-life balance. You just have to allow the existence of both in your life all the time.
Don’t let perfectionism hold you back. The new thing that I want to add here is that you shouldn’t compartmentalize or divide your time strictly between work and play. Blend them both together like they are the same thing, and a continuous thing or process that takes place throughout your entire waking hours every day. Do not say for example I have worked so hard today I’m going to take the rest of the day off and consider the remaining hours of today to be all down time until I sleep. That is like punishing yourself for having worked so hard today, or for having been productive in the first couple of hours of the day. Your biggest reward for having achieved greatly in a short period of time is a green light or permission to accomplish more epic stuff in the next few hours of the day or currently. If you keep prohibiting yourself or restricting yourself from working or doing anything that is considered productive or from achieving anything for too long, not just for a few minutes, or during a break that you catch your breath in it, because you have accomplished enough today, so far, or recently, then you are signaling or conditioning yourself to not want to be productive, successful, or someone who wants to not be an entirely useless consumer. This is not about happiness. This is about succumbing to your inner nature of being a productive person who adds something to this world, plays their role in the betterment of human civilization and life on earth, significantly contributes to the continued greatness of the rest of the world, instead of being just a liability that exists to consume, receive pleasure, and be hedonistically happy and useless. This makes you inevitably be in a good mood, but this is just a byproduct of you fulfilling your role as a responsible and productive human being, and proving to yourself that you’re not just another loser who is just living apathetically and passively on this planet to be in a good mood and enjoy just being or existing, and enjoy whatever the present moment throws at them. This is why you shouldn’t be okay with too long breaks or down time where you are supposed to not work at all. You are not someone who hates what you do, and if you are, then it’s time to change your work, until you find what you are really okay with doing all the time if you can. So the point here is to not declare the rest of the day off or as time where you are not allowed to work at all. Still you have fun at will and rest as much as required. The problem is with telling yourself don’t you dare talk to me about work again indefinitely, or until further notice. The moment you limit your options is the moment you start feeling trapped and helpless, with no way out of staying miserable indefinitely, or until further notice. This isn’t the mindset or mentality of a boring or workaholic person. There’s nothing wrong with you if you were like that. The problem is with people who consider that to be someone who is miserable and hates themselves too much to the extent that they channel that or distract themselves from their negative thinking by working all the time. Still you’re not working all the time. But you’re not having fun or resting all the time. You’re doing both. You are doing everything. You are in a state of alternating or successive work and play all the time. And that is the peak of human happiness.
Plan Your Life. Write down those plans somewhere. That is the only way your mind will move those items from the wishes and dreams zone to the serious intentions zone.
Design your life. Not only should you have clear and definite goals, but also you should have definite plans to get to them as well. Definiteness of purpose and definiteness of how to achieve those goals and purposes are both essential.
Write those plans down somewhere. That is the only way your mind will take those plans seriously. That is the only way your mind will move these items from the wishes and dreams zone to the serious intentions zone.
Also you will forget the information if you don’t write it down, and if you don’t forget it, then this means that you’re carrying or holding the information, goals, or plans in your mind or brain all the time. That takes up space from your working memory and short-term memory. That also exhausts you and makes you tired all the time. Also writing things down organizes things in your mind in a spacial way and exercises your inhibitory centers.
Having a good mood is essential for Success.
It’s not a luxury for rich people only. Your mood interferes with how capable you are. Working on having a good mood doesn’t mean you’re selfish or evil. It is not a waste of time. You wouldn’t even bother trying if you were in a bad mood. And even if you pushed through and tried anyway, you probably are not going to get anywhere.
Instagram’s reach through the home feed for normal posts is still the same. Perhaps even higher than before.
Hear me out. Your reach in the analytics is divided into several segments. Explore. Directly through your profile (people browsing your page and intentionally selecting a post to preview). Hashtags. And Home feed.
I noticed in the world that is post the introduction of Instagram reels that the home feed reach is higher for posts that are not reels, or IGTV. It may be even higher for reels. But that increase didn’t come at the expense of the normal reach of posts that are not reels. That is either the same or even higher.
That said, it is important to note that the home feed reach is what the algorithm does for you. So any changes in the algorithm will be immediately reflected in the reach of your posts in the home feed of other people. Since that hasn’t changed, then you can declare that Instagram didn’t screw us over to push us all into marketing their new reels feature, which is smart, because they want to become the next TikTok, without giving up being Instagram in the process.
However, I noticed a huge decrease in the hashtags reach for normal posts. That has nothing to do with the algorithm. Reasons for that might be people who follow those hashtags are no longer interested in the type of content you put out into them.
I noticed that just because you targeted many hashtags under 100k doesn’t mean you will get traffic over there. I tried hashtags that other people went viral because of and didn’t get any good reach from them. Several times. The point is in the past any hashtags almost did the job. Now it’s all spam and repetitive hustle culture or workout girl posts. This is why many are saying hashtags don’t work anymore. Not because of the algorithm or Instagram itself, but because of the people abusing these hashtags and diluting what’s under them with their spam. Also the explore page is awesome and people have become divided between it and hashtags now more than before.
Don’t keep begging the same person to buy from you. The world is abundant.
It’s not because you were selfish or not making it about the customer first. It’s just because they decided not to buy from you this time for some reason. There are a gazillion reasons why someone might not buy from you. It does not necessarily mean that your product or service is bad or not attractive enough to your potential customer base. Keep selling anyway. Keep making those offers. Keep showing or presenting your case or offer to as many people as you can hit, with disregard to their opinion or feedback. Of course you learn from what you hear, but don’t stop the entire sales process or marketing your product or service because of the feedback or criticism you get.
Don’t take it personally. It’s not your fault. There’s nothing wrong with you or what you’re trying to sell.
Don’t take too long trying to sell the same people and convince them that your product or service is the best for them. Move on quickly to the next target like you’re a selling machine and these are just moving money bags. Just start talking about what you want to sell. If they buy then that’s cool. If they don’t, then immediately jump to the next potential customer or client and talk to them about your product or service. Don’t take too long. Go find somebody else to sell your product or service to. It’s all about the number of people who get exposed to your thing. Show your offer to a greater number of people and you are bound to sell to a bunch of them.
Don’t convince. Present to more people. The best solution isn’t to focus on your clients. It’s to keep presenting your products to other potential clients. Just offer. If they don’t buy, move on to the next target. Until someone else buys. Nothing personal. It’s not about what’s good for you or what’s good for them. Just keep showing your product or service to new people. More potential customers or clients. If they buy it, splendid. If they don’t buy it, don’t ask why, don’t try to convince them. Expose other people to your thing. Someone is bound to give in and buy your horseshit.
You’re not reluctant to start because you’re a perfectionist.
This is just the panic associated with talking to the whole world. Just get started. The more you practice and put out into the world, the more it will be something that comes naturally to you, and something that you don’t panic because of.
Notice that it is not just perfectionism that is making you hesitate here before putting out pillar content on YouTube or podcast. It’s talking to the whole world. It puts you under pressure and stress. The more videos or podcast episodes you make, the lesser that stress or pressure will be.
