Fear of speaking is far greater than fear of showing up.

The real hurdle people struggle with when it comes to video making.

I find that the main obstacle people have when it comes to video making is thinking in front of the camera. A lot of people think that this is forbidden for some reason and should always be edited out. It’s okay to pause and gather your own thoughts.

Do not try to make up for messing up through excessive editing. It’s okay to stutter, stumble, or struggle while shooting your video. It’s okay to forget what you wanted to say. It’s okay to take time to form the point or how you’re going to say the point on video.

When you’re not allowing yourself to make mistakes in front of the camera, you will be unable to ever speak in front of the camera without editing. You’d rather not make a video at all in the first place, either because you are not allowed to make a fool out of yourself on video, or because you’d rather avoid another overwhelming session of endless editing that will inevitably take place afterwards.

If it weren’t for the massive amount of people enabling narcissists, they won’t have that much of a free reign over their victims.

The only reason no one bothers trying to help narcissistic abuse survivors despite knowing everything going on behind closed doors is because it’s a systemic issue where they’re all watching and doing nothing. As long as it’s not domestic physical violence or sexual assault, why should they care? This is why we always assume people who dismiss it this way to be partners in the crime.
