A lot of people who are running small businesses online feel humiliated whenever they feel their passion for helping people is met by cold reactions from customers looking to squeeze the shit out of you to get maximum benefit for almost zero cost.
There’s a way to bypass all this. Make hiring you impossible except through paying first. They click on the offer and they pay before you even know they want to hire you. I hate automation but when it comes to payment, I love it. You can charge specific prices for certain amounts of work or services, which preferably shouldn’t be in return for periods of your time, but instead, for specific services or products, even if the time it takes you to make them is 2 minutes. If they don’t like it, they can leave. You have enough for free content to make anyone unwilling to pay not have a chance to call you a person all about the money. Bottom line is this: don’t negotiate prices, and don’t lower your standards to appease the masses.
