Not all writers are created equal.
Creativity involves a great deal of inhibition and problem-solving.
Still, it is not just your creativity that will define how great a writer you are.
I mentioned before that my main isn’t creativity, it’s discovering. Not exploring new and interesting things, but discovering new findings, facts, and the truth.
You see, writing is superior to other forms of creative endeavors because it relies upon multiple abilities other than just creativity. Not only do you need to create something beautiful, you have to make it make sense as well. It has to be brilliant, not just delivered in a beautiful way. That’s why I established writing and discovering as separate and distinct needs from the need for being or doing something creative.
Nevertheless, you will still be a bad writer, more than you can imagine, if you don’t have enough hunger for reward. There’s no bypassing that. No amount of skill would ever make up for the fact that you don’t have that kind of hunger for reward. It will always be why you suck as a writer, even if you are insanely intelligent, all-knowing, and creative. This is the only acceptable why behind writing. If you don’t have it, you don’t have what it takes.
