“I get to quality through quantity.” – Gary Vaynerchuck

Quantity versus quality. A debate as old as time.

Yes, focusing on quantity increases your creativity more than focusing on quality.

Creativity is the opposite of neurosis, just like Smith is the negative of Neo in the Matrix. They cannot coexist together for too long without canceling each other.

Focusing on quality at the expense of quantity leads to focusing more on eliminating mistakes and shortcomings, which triggers neurosis.

That’s why the editing brain is different from the creative brain, and although both the creative process and the editing process will eventually be taken care of by the same individual, it is invariably recommended by all writers, – the only really creative people out there – that each of these two processes is to be carried out during different sessions, not simultaneously.

Also the practice of fixing something to perfection does not increase the total reward that you can get from a piece of art or content. It just helps you avoid getting lesser reward than expected or than that which you are supposed to receive from said creative work. It avoids a negative, as opposed to adding something positive, or affecting the total amount of reward positively.

Whereas Creating an entire other piece of content will get you the same amount of reward.

Why is reward important or relevant here?

It is one of the things that make you more creative. When that creative activity leads to reward, it tells your body that this type of work benefits us like no other, and that’s why we have to become more creative, in order to be more able to carry out that kind of activity more in the future, and produce better results that would easily grant us more of that reward; the key to our evolution, enlightenment, improvement, and actualization.

Overworking on or over-editing the same thing in order to increase its quality at the expense of creating more stuff or content is what I’m criticizing here. Perfectionism itself isn’t bad. Decreasing your output, productivity, or quantity of pieces of content or new stuff that you create due to any excuse including over perfectionism is what I’m criticizing here or is what I consider to be something that should be discouraged.

You see, when you prevent yourself from creating or producing more content, you are holding yourself back, and that feels like punishment for having attempted to create something new. You had to fix mistakes for hours before you allowed yourself to move on to your next creative task or project. That torture that follows creating something new and great every time is what makes creating new stuff get or become associated with pain, because you hate just scanning out ample pages just looking for mistakes, stuff that could be improved upon, or stuff that could’ve been said or explained better or in a better way.

One of the things that makes all this editing phase seem unnecessary is utilizing the no remake principle explained in full detail in the Genius Human, book 1.

You tend to write the thing perfectly from the start. From the first attempt. This makes you always create high quality content without compromising or decreasing quantity or how much you create on average, normally, or per unit time.

Aiming for a better quality is bad only if it leads to reduction of quantity because of that.

There’s nothing intrinsically wrong or bad about wanting the quality of your work to be the best there is or the best possible. The only problem is in believing that producing less quantity of creative work will not negatively affect your productivity, or your creativity long term.

Why all the hype about making money on Instagram is overrated compared to the chance of making money on YouTube.

Pro tip: try to hype your audience about your first YouTube video just as you do with testimonials or podcast, even days or weeks before it comes out.

It makes them want to check it out once it’s released more just because you told them it’s going to be worth their while several times before you put it out there.

Tell everybody. Twitter. Mention it in your podcast (during the audio speech itself). Instagram stories and highlights.

Market it like it’s a million dollar product.

Give a sample of it in your stories with a swipe up feature to watch the whole thing. Tease people. This is a very important step in your career. Don’t treat it casually.

YouTube is a good source for passive income not just because of the ads, but because any affiliate marketing link that you put will keep selling or generating revenue even years later.

You can keep the link pinned in the comments section. You can link a truck load of products in the pinned comment and edit it at anytime.

On Instagram, no one checks your older posts (except rarely). And links in Instagram posts don’t work. They are inactive.

If you spam people with selling swipe up links on Instagram they might leave.

But if you leave a selling link in the pinned comment of a YouTube video, that’s normal. No one would leave because of that. It’s not annoying.

So you end up selling more, while annoying people less. It’s a win win.

They can book marketing teaching sessions with you from it too. Nothing is forbidden. You can make money through the way that you want without the system blocking you for that.

On Instagram they’d rather create an entire marketplace than let us put external links to whatever we wanted anywhere we want, whether on the profile page or in posts.

Disclaimer: I’m not undermining the potential of Instagram when it comes to making money through its platform. I’m only saying that if you’re enthusiastic about it, you ought to be way more enthusiastic about that of making money through YouTube.

Create it. Do your best. And then leave. Don’t even think about it until enough time has passed.

It will always feel like an international embarrassment immediately after it’s done. A few weeks later, it’ll start to feel like a masterpiece. Don’t lose your shit until it does.

Take heart young one.

No piece of art feels like an accomplishment right after you finish it.

Let it take its time until it becomes okay to think about it and feel good because of it.

There’s some kind of PTSD that takes place right after it’s over. Also you want to get more reward by doing something new, instead of milking the same piece of content over and over again just to feel good about yourself.

Don’t dilute your greatness in order to impress other people.

Don’t downplay your frequency to avoid offending others.

If you’re good, people will always be jealous of you.

Unleash. Be fully yourself.

Stop apologizing for being extraordinary.

Stop feeling sorry for being unique.

No one cares.

Enjoy it to the fullest.

Make the most out of it.

Be the one, and proud.

People will always be offended.

The problem with growing your business on TikTok.

The problem with TikTok could be summarized as follows. You can’t get serious on it without appearing as a freak. Like: okay boomer. Whatever. Gary Vaynerchuck gets away with this because he is known from elsewhere. As for LinkedIn: they contain the average type of person who is an employee and likes to read the newspaper, especially the Bloomberg business type of newspapers. You can address those if you want business to consumer type of content.

There’s no shortage of ideological craziness on the right wing. It’s just not under the spot light at the moment because there are bigger fish to fry. The insanity of the radical left is taking all the attention.

The right wing is not entirely better than the left wing. It’s just that this time the entirety of the right wing is condemning the atrocities committed by the far left whilst the center and the center left are both pandering to the radical leftists just to get their votes.

Because republicans don’t want anything new. They want the status quo. The same could be said about moderate and centrist democrats. The only passionate group is the far left. Too bad they are only passionate about the wrong things.

Also republicans care about their children and relationship with God only. As long as these two are fine, they don’t care about what happens in the crazy world out there.

This is nihilism. Ironically enough, it’s not exclusively found amongst proponents of radical leftist ideologies. On the left, nihilistic worldviews and thinking leads them to not care about anything to the extent that they passionately want to destroy everything.

On the right, nihilism leads to indifference when all that happens because the first life doesn’t matter and Jesus is in control and God has a plan and they’ll always transfer to a better place in heaven. Both are intrinsically harmful modes and ways of thinking.

Both are anti American values. America was not founded on conservatism or traditionalism. It was founded on Liberalism. And it was not founded on Christianity. It was founded on secularism. The right to keep holding your regressive religious beliefs, to avoid tyranny.

Not because holding religious beliefs were considered to be better by any of the founding fathers.

The only reason the fundamentalist right wing is better is because currently they are not burning human civilization to the ground to create the perfect equity omelette like the far left.

If we want to see significant change in the perpetual fight between the far left and the mainstream right wing, we have to acknowledge that clinging to Christian values is far from what it means to be clinging to American values of freedom and democracy, if not the exact opposite.

It’s time to truly go back to valuing liberty, and freedom of speech and expression as the highest priority value of all time, not because this is what the Bible says, but because this is what we as humans have figured out to be the answer to all the insanity that exists in all anti-freedom worldviews there is, including religion.

What if I told you that you get deranked by the algorithm on Instagram just because you use hashtags? Mind-blowing, right? Here’s why.

Stop focusing on hashtag strategy. There are bigger fish to fry.

Hashtags are dead.

It took me years until I stopped being too stubborn to give up on Heroes of Newerth, after virtually everybody over there told me that HON is a dead game.

Yeah, but it was being played every day by a lot of people. Yes, but it was no longer mainstream, no longer the center of attention, like for example League of Legends.

It was a barren wasteland, ruins, filled by the worst scum of people on earth. There’s no way you can blame yourself for losing on it.

On the other hand, the games that were still popular and mainstream, at least in the same genre, had real people playing them, that if you didn’t suck, you will get the place or matchmaking rate (MMR) that you deserve. That suits you. That is reflective of your competence level. That is corresponding to how good you really are in the game.

HON is dead. And so are hashtags on Instagram. They are either saturated, and only possible to be dominated by people who get hundreds of thousands of reach on average for every trash post they make, or have no significant traffic.

Yes hashtags with a smaller number of posts have low competition, but also no one goes there. Like at all. And hence the small number of posts on it. Duh?

Who are the type of people who use hashtags to find content on Instagram?

Tell me, do you ever go to a hashtag to consume content? Like ever?

It’s obsolete.

If your post gets shown to someone, even an alien from outer space, and that individual did not interact with it, you get deranked by the algorithm.

If you get a thousand reach and they all come from hashtags, you get deranked a thousand times. Let that sink in.

You failed a test you didn’t sign up for a thousand times. Proof that your post sucks is: mindless trolls have scrolled past it too fast on hashtags.

All reach is good reach, huh?

Please tell me you now understand that this statement is false.

On the other hand, explore shows your stuff to people who are really interested in similar type of content.

And home reach is mainly your followers, who tend to love what you do, and thus will be more likely to engage with your content.

This is what will trigger the algorithm in your favor.

What if I told you that you burnout frequently or so easily because you take entire days off and prohibit yourself from doing any work on the weekends, while the remainder of the week is for strict and pure hard work?

Stop taking whole days for pure having fun, relaxation, and not working, and other days where all of the above is forbidden, and pretty much everything is except work. That is not healthy.

Hear me out please. You only wanted a weekend and a vacation because you hated studying and going to school.

It’s not natural. Also if you have a regular job, you just want to not go to this job some days of the week.

It is an abomination to see so many so-called entrepreneurs long for the weekend to come because they really wanna relax a little bit.

Bro, the entire point of being an entrepreneur is relaxing at will any moment of your day, any day of the week.

You didn’t get the memo?

This is what financial independence is all about.

Free to run around all day. Free to do it all my way.

If you can’t just take a break and chill at any given moment of time, you ain’t an entrepreneur, and you seriously need to consider getting a job.

If you can’t do what you want on a Monday, but you can do it only on a Sunday, then you’re not in control of your life, when you have the opportunity to, which means you don’t choke on not being in full control of your life, which means you’re not a true pure-bred entrepreneur, which means you need to get a job.

Wait, what? You’re only trying to be an entrepreneur because you need the money and you can’t find a job?

Oh no. I thought we were friends.

I’m disappointed at you. I’m sad.

Anyway, back to why you would be more prone to burnout.

When you have to enjoy yourself and do fun activities all day long, that is exhausting. That’s why you tended to waste ample time in summer vacation when you were a kid. Feeling pleasure is a consumptive neurological process that drains you, just like decision making. Something has to happen inside of you to feel pleasure as a direct result of doing a specific activity. When that happens, you get tired a little bit more. Your body understands this, and hence wasting all day long in order to avoid getting involved in such game or process, even if you’re technically taking the day off. If you force your body to push itself anyway, saving up some feeling good for the rest of the week, you’ll exhaust yourself before the week even begins. Also working too hard during the rest of the week in order to earn having fun on the weekends makes you burnout even faster.

It’s called a rat race for a reason.

Sometimes not doing something takes more energy than doing it for hours. Inhibition isn’t the lack of doing something. It’s an active process that consumes a ton of energy. And too much inhibition or inhibition for too long leads to depression because it frustrates you and sends a message to your body that having a ton of activation energy is discouraged or a useless thing, and thus should be avoided entirely for the sake of conservation of energy, because now you care about nothing but mere survival. This makes your body no longer bother giving you activation energy, and hence your lack of motivation, desire, energy, or interest to do anything. Everything is exhausting because everything is done against your will, because your will has been conditioned to no longer want or aspire to do anything, and thus will rarely give you any activation energy to provide you with the essential thrust you need to get any activity going or started.

Stop resisting pursuing or fulfilling every impulse you get. This is bad for you, both in the short and long term. Religion made you consider that to be a good thing. It’s time to break free. Religion celebrates this as the epitome of self-control, maturity, faith, and wisdom, although it is abuse and one of the worst things you can do to yourself to make yourself better in any way there is. It crushes your creativity, spirit, and destroys any chances of you being alive, except for survival levels. It really lowers your intelligence and IQ, even if it increases some abilities, like ‘crushing impulses’. It makes you a helpless victim, capable of doing nothing but obey and be manipulated and ordered around. You will be a good slave, but an empty shell of a human being. It harms you on a neurological level. Avoid it at all costs. Just rest enough so that you can handle navigating yourself in the uncertain world of pursuing, chasing, or fulfilling impulses. Go when ready. Prepare for that. Follow your impulses when you are well-rested, or when you are rested enough, at least when you’re not totally fatigued to know your own good, or be capable of not making bad or horrible decisions. You don’t want to be reckless. You do not want to engage in self-sabotage. You just want what’s good for you, and so you shouldn’t harm yourself in the process and call it a day. Be careful. Regenerate your capacity to do hard work as much as needed, and then follow your impulses all you want. You have no idea how much that improves you. And how much opposing this destroys you.

Normally, to stay consistent, you need only reward and habit.

Notice that reward makes it easier over time, not discipline. It hooks you to the activity making you no longer complain about lack of motivation. If you fail to develop such receiving of reward after the activity, then you would find it hard to continue, blaming it on either motivation or discipline. If you need discipline to continue, then chances are, you are gaining nothing that you really want from the hard thing. This is aside from it being supposed to become a habit. Still, discipline makes you able to do something you hate at first only – not later on – until you arrive at the stages of it becoming easier because of it becoming a habit, and you feeling more motivated toward it not by pep-talk, but because of the reward you expect to receive at the end of the activity each time you do it from now on.

If you need discipline to keep doing a certain thing over and over again, chances are, you shouldn’t either be doing it, because this means you hate it, or your problem is more general than just hating this certain thing.

We cannot keep falling back, giving ground, or retreating forever.

No. Twitter is perfect. I highly disagree with leaving it voluntarily for any reason. You guys take stuff for granted, and are too spoiled and entitled.

The only thing wrong or bad about Twitter is censorship, de-platforming, banning for political opinion, bias against conservative positions, and adopting far left stances on issues as gospel.

Aside from that the technology is epic. And that matters.

We should keep negotiating with them, instead of abandoning them until the other platform becomes big enough to be forced to pander to the much larger mainstream regressive audience of snowflake far left woke politics and mentality.

Just like what happened with Fox News. It’s happening everywhere. They all start genuinely committed to free speech and expression, until something weird happens behind the shadows, and then they turn to the dark side and become Sith like CNN.

We cannot keep retreating forever and giving up ground because woke people decided to implement their tyranny on it. Eventually there will be no ground left for us to fall back to. Not even the suburbs or the rural areas.
