The quality of your rest is as important as how long you take to rest.

Here, the quality matters as much as the quantity. You cannot say I rested long enough, and that should be enough, and now I should get back to work. Are you well-rested? Did you fully recover your energy? The quantity of your rest might be high or long, but is the quality of your rest good enough? Or are you still too tired to do anything that is not insanely easy?

Just because you took a vacation or some time off, doesn’t mean your body has recovered from exhaustion completely.

It is poetic that you, yeah you, of all people, are focusing on quantity instead of quality when it comes to resting your mind and body. You can take as much time as you want off of work, but if the quality of the recovery process sucks, you will end up almost as tired as you were before you attempted to take care of yourself or take that long break.

Remember, in cases of insomnia, they’re still lying in bed, but they never fall asleep.

Sometimes you don’t need to rest longer, but you need to rest harder, or rest better.

The quality of your rest, is everything.
