Sleep is not enough.

There are several ways to regenerate your energy. You need all of them combined, or else you’ll feel tired all the time, no matter what you do. The answer, even when it comes to regenerating your energy, is to do more, not less. Your obsession with quality is what’s depriving you of the benefits of quantity when it comes to everything you are consumed by thinking there’s a quantity versus quality debate concerning it.

In order to be able to consistently produce or create high quality content, you have to consume ten times more than what you create.

What you consume does not have to be related to what you produce or create or talk about in your content at all. What I want you to understand is that no amount of rest or sleep will make up for that. You have to expose your neurons to something new, and do that for a very long time, before you can create again. Even lying in bed for a whole month or year cannot compete with that.

Virtually all your burnout from content creation or working on your business is coming from that. Not only do you need to create content until fatigued, but you also need to consume content or stuff until fatigued, or else you’ll feel exhausted all the time and your burnout will never go away.

That’s why I classified recovery into two categories, the resting need, and the regeneration need, both of which do not include and are aside from and totally distinct from sleep. It is an abomination to find that expert advice on burnout is all about either sleep more or work less. Both are not enough, even if they are to run ad infinitum.

Just because it is the smarter course of action, does not mean it’ll make you smarter.

The very things that are beneath you, that a smart person like you should not be bothered with, are your only hope for remaining intelligent.

In the quest of trying to not lose your intelligence, powers, and abilities, you end up losing them from lack of usage, because everything seems to be something that will lead to cognitive decline, and looks like something specifically designed to lower your IQ. So you end up doing less and less things and activities as time goes by, until you narrow down the scope of things and activities available to you to do in your whole life too much to an extent that you cannot even maintain your intelligence, talents, creativity, abilities, and powers if you only did those few things only every single day of your whole life.

In the end, you end up doing less overall, and that lack of stimulation and challenge from doing nothing or not doing enough all day long leads to the very thing you were trying to avoid from the start. Losing your intelligence, talents, powers, abilities, and creativity.

You will not become smarter by doing less, even if that is considered working smarter and not harder by the whole universe.

It’s like going to the gym and telling people over there, hey guys you’re just working out harder. Why don’t you workout smarter by working out less intensely and reduce the duration, intensity, and volume of your training to build more muscle? It’s time to build some serious muscle by doing less intensity and volume workouts and resistance training. Because you need to work smarter and not harder for some reason, which means you should strive to get the same results by doing less in any endeavor, as opposed to training as hard as you can and trying to get to where you want to be by any means necessary.

Imagine that.

And for some reason you believe the results will be different if you do less when it comes to your mental fitness, intelligence, abilities, powers, talents, skills, brainpower, and creativity.

It is smarter to get the same results by doing less effort and spending less energy and doing less work. It does not necessarily mean you will become smarter or remain smart long-term if you kept doing so.

You cannot remain intelligent without doing stuff that maintains your intelligence on a regular basis, even if you are a literal genius. The boring job that you have is sucking the life out of you because it is literally sucking the intelligence and creativity out of you gradually until you have nothing left and you can barely even keep your brain dead soul-sucking life-draining job.

When it comes to your intelligence, talents, abilities, skills, powers, and creativity, doing more is always the answer.

When do you stop?

Until failure.

Just like you do when it comes to building muscle.

Aim lower, even if it seems to be too dumb to be bothered with. Aim lower, even if you think you’re too good to be doing this, and you can do way better. Aim lower, even if it seems like this thing requires zero intelligence to be done.

You have to do more, or else you’ll always end up with lesser intelligence, and creativity.
