Just hold still and I’ll make this quick. You have no idea how slow you are because you’re taking too long to make up your mind about stuff.

Do not just sit there and ask yourself what should I do next. Jump in, pick any choice. Just get started. Do something. If it happened to be the wrong choice or a bad idea, you’ll get a sense of that, and then you’ll behave or modify accordingly. Surprise yourself by the fact that you’ve already jumped in. You’ve already began in a new task. Whether that is the wisest pick you could’ve ever made is irrelevant. You don’t have to get an answer before acting, because your brain doesn’t care. It just wants to take action. You are only here to make sure it doesn’t stay for too long without taking that action, not make sure that the first action taken today is the best action ever to be taken or suggested for such a random day. You will understand this when you practice staying still while doing nothing at all. Then anything you do will be considered a good choice, because it means then that you will no longer be sitting still doing nothing with your brain and your body. Even something as passive as listening to music, which you consider to be a non task in and of itself, just something running in the background that doesn’t guarantee or mean that you were productive today. It will seem like a world-class achievement once it’s added to the background if you’ve been through literal nothingness beforehand. You will appreciate it because after doing nothing for too long anything will be considered heaven, even stuff that you don’t describe as taking action, like listening passively to music in the background. The point is: You want to stay in motion. That should precede making the right decision or choice in your hierarchy of well-being values. And staying in motion demands and necessitates that you do not pause for any reason. Not to answer phone calls, not to tell annoying people to shut up, not to get pissed at the barking of your neighbor’s lovely dog, not even to deal with making final decisions about tasks you’re supposed to handle sometime in the future. Not even to take a final stance on whether some TV show is good enough to not drop it and move on to another show. Not to think about your past and your early childhood traumas. Nothing. Even if the thing that you’re attempting to think about is important as hell, still, as long as it qualifies as an interruption of your mental flow state, that flying unchecked, that running carefree, that continuous immersion in the task at hand, then it’s not allowed to present its case right now. Maybe never. Results are what makes a difference in your life. Not what goes inside your head. This is not because money will solve your problems, but happy thoughts and positive mindset won’t. This is because your brain is tired of itself. Yes imagination exercises your brain, but your brain hates producing stuff from the inside instead of absorbing new stuff from the outside. Your brain loves to download stuff into it, and hates to upload stuff from it, because it already knows it. You can’t imagine a machine to be happy because it’s running something for you. Your brain loves novelty. You can’t be less novel than when you ask your brain to talk about or imagine something it already knows. It only enjoys that when you’re super fatigued. When it has no choice. But it doesn’t mean that this is an enjoyable activity for it. It’s draining and it doesn’t enrich your brain or increase your experience. But you’ll say creativity makes you feel good. Yes, because in creativity you do not produce something you already know. You heard me right. I’m making this shit up as we speak. If I knew it, at least I didn’t have it spread apart in full detail the way you find it in whatever piece of content I transform my thoughts into. I discover while I write. In a few milliseconds whatever unique or brilliant thoughts that happened to run in my mind will disappear forever, simply because they will be not new anymore a few seconds later. So my mind will not keep them. If I do not transform these thoughts into their literary equivalent, they’ll be lost forever. But thinking is mostly telling yourself what you already know. If you have something new, then put it in a piece of content. Make it in a pillar piece of content so that it becomes a source for this wisdom for future reference for you before it is for anybody else. If it’s not worth writing, then probably this isn’t something new. You will then be boring yourself shitless by discussing stuff you already know well with ‘yourself’. You realize how pointless that is? Still you need to keep thinking pointlessly and aimlessly until fatigued every now and then, which is why Thought-streaming meditation is a thing I advise you to engage in on a regular basis. If this is not the case at the moment, that is, you do not need to sit down and just talk to yourself until fatigued, or let the thoughts keep running until you’re done, then do not waste your time, energy, momentum, motivation, or enthusiasm on thinking, because if it’s not something that is new or worthy of being written down, then it will be pointless, a colossal waste of your time, and will lead you nowhere. Still our initial topic was about decision making. And the problem with decision making is that you’re stopping yourself from acting, from staying in motion, from jumping in right away, from doing anything, from beginning, because you’re waiting for consent to take place before any of that. You are waiting for your mind to tell you that this is a good idea. This is where the problem lies. You can’t know that this is a good idea without imagining it first and checking with your memory centers, and consulting your collective past experience, and weighing in all other options. You also have to produce a correct answer, or else your decision making centers will learn to not be reliable or aim to be correct as much as humanly possible, which means you’ll be learning to become more stupid, because you’re teaching your mind to honestly work and make valid or reliable outcomes without caring about quality, which means why bother be accurate, or reasonable, which means in order to be more efficient, you’ll have to be less able to reach that kind of reliable, valid, accurate, or good decision making or logical reasoning …etc. That is, less intelligent and careful will make you better and faster at this, because you’re asking for quick decisions that are not necessarily good or of acceptable quality to your standards of reason, wisdom, and intelligence. This is why you fatigue easily because of making many decisions all the time. Although you objectively did nothing new in the external world, your mind became tired before you even began. There’s no way to stay intelligent without making bad decision making something encouraged in the name of being more efficient except if you make decisions only at specific times only: like when you’re putting or removing items on your to-do lists, or scheduling tasks in your calendar. Another method is to not allow yourself to indulge in decision making all day long because it’s a form of internal distraction that could interrupt you just as external noise can interrupt you, make you go angry, drain your energy, or ruin your mood for the day. You can only bypass wasting your time or energy on decision making if you learn to jump in right away and start doing what you want without waiting for the decision making process to give you guilt free clearance first. But there’s another reason – in addition to those many reasons mentioned earlier here – for entirely attempting to bypass the decision making process. Which is delaying receiving reward until you tell me whether this is a good idea to proceed with or not is so incredibly frustrating it makes you become too depressed to act upon that idea or impulse now after you’ve held me hostage for too long until you figure out whether or not this idea is great enough to pay attention to, take it seriously, or should be implemented immediately or delaying it for some time or someday in the future would be even better. It’s like the idea is brilliant at this very specific moment of time. This very millisecond. If you delay us, and that delay makes us spend energy to hold ourselves from acting upon this great idea immediately and also to do the imagination and questioning necessary to produce a decision that is not laughable by any academic or scientific standards, then the same suggestion will no longer make sense, because you are saying yes now, after a little while, when the question was about doing it 2 minutes ago, not now or two minutes in the future, like who says that our readiness and the appeal of the idea or suggestion would stay the same after you’ve changed all those dimensions or factors surrounding putting this idea or suggestion into practice. Who told you that doing this with lesser energy is still a good idea? Who told you that waiting 30 seconds before starting would make you receive the same reward from doing this thing? Who told you that the idea or suggestion not being as fresh as it was the moment it popped up in your head will not change how enthusiastic or motivated you are to do this idea, suggestion, or thing? Who told you that it wouldn’t be insanely easy to do this thing instantly the moment you get the impulse or urge to do it, but not incredibly difficult, challenging, heavy, or boring to do a few milliseconds later on, and with lesser mental energy to begin with, (that amount consumed by the decision making process?) making it like labor that you dread or hate, although it’s the same thing in both cases. What changed about the suggested task or idea? Nothing! What changed about you and your mental or physical state? Perhaps everything. So basically what will happen here is that you wouldn’t be so reckless or irrational. You will still do the right thing, but after you begin anyway, after you start before you’re ready. And then your inhibitory centers will still be in control, because they’re not thrown in jail until further notice. They are instead monitoring every move, every action you take, lurking in the shadows, hiding behind the bushes, ready to attack at any moment they find their help is most welcome, when their contribution would result in making the quality of your work better in every way imaginable. That’s when they become an asset. Otherwise, they’re just playing the adult in the room, preventing you from virtually everything, in the name of not doing anything unless it’s the wisest and most rational thing to do in the world.

Stay in motion. Pick any random item, thing, or task and go for it. Do it before you feel ready, or that it’s the best idea to act upon ever. And if there’s anything wrong, your inhibitory centers will tell you.

There are battles that you’re not supposed to fight while working at full capacity. Decision making is one of them.

You can bypass the frontal lobe decision making process and jump in right away. That still counts as free will and choice, but it is not the neurological decision making process. To successfully induce that loss of inhibition you gotta offer your normal inhibitory centers a distraction. A piece of meat or a bone. They will be controlling you while monitoring what’s going on in that scenario. They didn’t consent from the start, they didn’t give you the green light to go, they didn’t relief you from any sense of guilt by giving you the initial activation energy that fools you into believing oh this is so right, but they sure as hell stayed occupied while shutting up, because they got this and they are also hungry for the reward. They want the change, and they keep laughing at you for being so slow to act. You’re holding yourself back, even your decision making process centers, and they will be happy with the results that will come from this new loss of inhibition policy.

“I engage, and then I see what to do.” – Napoleon Bonaparte

The only instance you’re allowed to exercise your decision making powers to their full potential is while you’re writing a to-do list or scheduling stuff in your calendar.

People’s judgement or opinions won’t distract you from being yourself if you don’t think for yourself in the first place!

Do you know how many people tell you to stop listening to the judgment of others toward you?

Almost everybody.

Do you know why it’s not working?

Because you’re just eliminating the noise coming from the outside world. This does not necessarily mean that you’re producing music in the inside world.

What are you hiding from?

You have no thoughts in the first place!

Nothing is going on the inside that you need to stop listening to the attacks coming from the outside world in order to not distort it.

You can’t find a needle in a haystack without there being a haystack in the first place!

Do you think for yourself?

Is there something or someone in there?

Start being something or someone, and then worry about not being distracted or pulled away by other people’s opinions.

Start being a source.

You gotta produce your own opinions first that you can trust, before blaming it all on being frustrated by other people’s judgment or points of view.

Read more, write more is the ultimate commandment. The answer to virtually all your problems is not money, fame, or success. It’s more reward accumulation into your total reward of all time.

Keep improving the quality of your work by producing more. You’ll always look back at your old productions and say man that was embarrassing. That won’t happen if you’re stagnant though. Keep creating until you can no longer stand the quality of your old work. I personally – and this is a real life case or experience – thought that I surpassed Shakespeare in some of my older content that I already made when I was above 25 years old. Still when I was editing the final draft of my first book, I realized how horrible the majority of everything was and that I had to rewrite many things and remove or totally cancel a ton of what I’ve written in the past, what I already thought I have finished for good, what I already perceived earlier to be a masterpiece of artwork. It was hard, but the end result is that I have something that is not entirely trash. I worked more to compensate for the removed body of work. The point is, I really thought the earlier stuff was beyond amazing. Only when I was in my thirties I became capable of perceiving how bad it was. I evolved enough. How do you get there? Not through failure, but through constant training, experience, and creating. It’s like there’s a collective total reward of all time that allows your brain to work or run at a different level where it starts giving you abilities that you had no idea existed or were possible. That doesn’t happen because you have become necessarily better in terms of potential or how smart you are, but how much or how huge what you’ve produced, accomplished, or created in the past is. This makes you fast enough to do what your mind would be too reluctant to try venturing into or attempting to do for fear of fatiguing prematurely, or doing something that’s not worth it, when you can grab reward or pleasure through a shorter, quicker, or easier pathway. Being smart is crucial for your success, but it is not the only thing that is going to lead you to the realm of brilliance or mastery. There’s more than just processing speed. Collective or total reward of all time does wonders. Do not underestimate that. And the only key to getting there is producing, achieving, or creating more. There’s no bypassing that. There’s no shortcut. And it’s so worth it.

You can justify anything bad in the name of the notion that we’re all gonna die.

I can’t imagine an atrocity that cannot be justified by the mindset of who cares, we’re all gonna die anyway. Literally, think of something that you would have a problem with doing it if there’s no need to put any weight or importance to anything because you’ll end up dead in both cases. You can’t find a single example that can be an exception to this rule, because there isn’t.

You only live once, so why not do epic shit, and also why not do horrible stuff, because why regret anything. I told you guys, nihilistic worldviews and postmodernism have leaked and seeped into every aspect of our lives and philosophical positions, even in self-help.

If something generates enthusiasm or motivation through the lack of meaning, or importance, then whatever positive effect you can get from it will not be real. It will be delusional positivity. And it won’t help you long-term.

You should only ignore hate or toxicity.

Don’t you dare tell me that positive feedback doesn’t lift you up or make you work tirelessly harder.

You have no idea what you’re talking about.

Just don’t let negativity do the opposite to you.

It’s okay to feel good because of positive comments or feedback.

Stop rereading. Keep running. Don’t go back because you didn’t understand it all enough from the first time.

Commit to consuming the video, book, article, paragraph, thing, or whatever piece of content you’re consuming only once, and attempt to understand it perfectly from the first time, without repetition or going through it again in order to understand it better or more. Even if you didn’t manage to focus or understand everything in the first time, it’s okay, you can come back to it any time later on. Just leave it now after you’ve given it a single chance, after you’ve consumed it only once without any repetition or replaying, regardless of the level of your comprehension or understanding of it, and then move on to the next video, article, paragraph, book, piece of content, thing, or task. No remake. Get what you can in a single attempt then leave. Novelty trumps quality and understanding when it comes to consuming videos, reading books, …etc. Don’t worry about your knowledge being inaccurate or incoherent, because repeating a single paragraph or video countless times over won’t guarantee you accurate knowledge either. It’s coming across new stuff that contradicts with your previous beliefs or misconceptions that wakes you up to the truth and corrects the mistakes in what you think or believe is factual or true. Just keep going, watching, listening, or reading, and whatever you manage to understand from the first time should be enough, and whatever that you didn’t get or manage to understand from the first time or attempt, don’t stop, repeat, or go back because of it. Just keep moving as if you’ve understood everything.

There is no competition, if you think about it from a certain point of view.

You have no idea how pathetic it is to think of physical exercise as one of the top methods for increasing your energy. It’s like treating sprint running as a good way to get stronger biceps or drinking tea before sleeping as a good relaxation technique that will make you dive into deep sleep as soon as you rest your head on the pillow. When someone tells you that physical exercise is a method to solve any problem other than health problems or staying fit, you should realize that they have no specific solution that could help, so they throw the universal one size fits all solutions at you. It’s also like telling you depression? Eat fish oil and spend some time in the sunshine. Socialize, and hit the gym. Jaw dropping interventional procedures aimed at fixing a community by giving financial aid to another poor country. And they call it science. Which brings us to the conclusion that science is not good at proving things to be right, it can only be sure that something is definitely wrong. The point is not just that they have no idea what they’re talking about. The point is that this is all there is. This is all every single one of them has to offer, not what just a few bad apples or pseudo scientists say. The same could be said about the self help industry experts. No one cares about the truth. They just want to tell you why are you so weak. It’s all your fault. They didn’t discover anything new or helpful, because they think there’s no problem in the first place! Just a few people who don’t know what the rest of the population always understood since the stone age. I’m telling you this because I want to vent the frustration I always get when I turn a page after the other looking for something new in what experts have already reached. The field – our field – is empty. What are you waiting for?

Virtually all your problems are due to reward deficiency.

You have no idea how slow you are, or how trapped you are. Let’s imagine you’re immortal, you’re rich, you’re unkillable, you live in a planet with no impending doomsday global warming status, we’ve got star trek level of technological advancement, your wife really loves you…etc. And imagine whether or not you’ll be suffering due to the same reasons that you are right now. Imagine if the answer was yes. That’s how we should think about or approach our issues or problems in the realm of well-being, success, personal development, self-help, or happiness. What if our ancestors really left us with nothing that could benefit us in this realm? We’re on our own. And all they tell us is stay always hydrated and follow your passion. Imagine if this was the case. You don’t have to imagine that, because this is what the real world is like right now. You tell them you can’t get out of bed in the morning, and they tell you it’s all about the journey. It’s because you hate your job. It’s because of your mindset. You’re not grateful. They ask Gary Vaynerchuck for example, how does he get the energy to do all that he does and his stunningly ridiculous, unrelated, false, and useless answer is bruh, I’m grateful. 400 trillion to one. You get the idea. We’re being scammed, and no one cares about helping us. We’re on our own. If we don’t figure that shit out ourselves, no one else will. None will fight this war in our stead. Don’t get me wrong, I love Gary Vaynerchuck, and I consume his content on a regular basis, but he may be genuinely unaware that what he says has nothing to do with addressing what the question was all about, but entirely bypasses the fact that the question was about burnout and sudden exhaustion due to actually trying to do what he does not just what he says. In other words, how can we become more productive and achieve more without failing to do so because of being exhausted prematurely, or too early, or before becoming too exhausted to meet our expectations of ourselves or meet our new higher standards? How can we raise our mental fitness or endurance? But the end result is: we’re still without an answer that we can utilize to raise our energy and become more productive. But nevertheless, I’m not questioning his intentions. At least he’s trying to help, and he does it mostly if not entirely for free. I’ve personally learned a ton from him. And a lot of what he says is good and works. It’s just that he should learn more, and try to tell us more that could benefit us, not the same 22 pieces of advice over and over again as if he doesn’t have the potential to discover more on his own that could take his life and the life of his listeners to a whole new level. As if the tiny bits of information that he recirculates every now and then contain all the ancient wisdom that you’ll ever need to become amazing, or at least as legendary as he actually is right now. Not enough bro, not enough. I know you can do better. You can finish up what Tony Robbins is all about in about 30 minutes (give or take a few years), and still he didn’t give us a serious answer to his famous question of is this all there is that ultra rich and successful people ask themselves, but he finds it suffice to say success without fulfillment is the ultimate failure. Yeah but how can we become fulfilled? His answer – just like the answer which is being pushed by many others – is to find what fulfills you and do it. So helpful. Which could be translated to literally nothing. Whatever the answer is they don’t have it, and they’re not even trying to find it because they figured out that it’s all about the journey. Who cares if you ended up nowhere? You should’ve enjoyed the ride when you had the chance! They believe that you can be happy anyway by focusing on fixing your thinking patterns and perspective, so they’ll remain happy and positive for no reason, and they’ll keep inducing this state, regardless of whatever reasons that may try to shake them away from this mindset or despite everything around them and in their lives trying to make it pointless to try to change anything or impossible to try to feel good or be happy, that is, regardless of how bad the external or real world actually is. It’s cheap, it’s easy, and it blames no one for your problems but you. Please everybody realize that we have no self-help body of knowledge that could make a difference in anyone’s life. It’s all acceptance. It’s all a mind game, a word game, an attention game, instead of actually being about figuring out what our problems are, or what could actually deliver positive change to our lives for real. They tell you to meditate and preach how this is life transformative although it crushes your creativity and intellect in every way imaginable. They tell you the answer to all your problems or depression is to get exposed to enough sunlight, ingest enough fish oil, and get enough physical exercise. We’re sad because of our diet. You’re in an abusive relationship where you’re the victim, well, they tell you fix your communication skills, stop assuming the worst out of everybody, instead of quitting this relationship. It’s your fault. Always. And even if it isn’t, you’re supposed to stay forever in this torture or concentration camp because it’s better for the kids. From where did they get that kids are better off with parents who hate each other, and that being raised under a narcissist and a victimized spouse is the best childhood imaginable they could ever get. You get the picture. Their answer to everything is always offer the audience nothing. Emptiness. No difference between before and after trying to implement the solution, except if you’re into delusion, where everything would start to gradually feel better because they said so. They’re telling you social media is a curse and responsible for one hundred percent of your apathy and failure, although it’s the only thing preventing us from hitting rock bottom, assuming we didn’t hit it already or assuming we are not stuck at rock bottom almost all of the time already. Because it’s easy to criticize the cool new thing that is being enjoyed by virtually everybody. It catches your attention when they tell you that you’ve been living your life the wrong way. You’re an addict. To a drug? No, you’re just communicating with others from a distance. Makes perfect sense. The same thing has been said about gaming. Why don’t they say it about music? I don’t know. Some people can’t live without it though. Makes a perfect candidate to be demonized for profit by popular people and scientists. They said the same thing about TV but for some reason they missed saying that about music. Oh, they can’t because of classical music. They can’t say we’re worse because of classical music. So they’ll stick to saying kids these days. They listen to awkward or weird music. Their new music is just pure noise. What are these kids cheering? Virtually all their solutions are targeted at depriving you of reward because according to them, immediate gratification is all bad, and it makes you lazy, spoiled, weak, dependent, childish, entitled, and incompetent. They think that suffering and pain are good things that are essential for your growth and development, or that make you stronger or tougher. This is despite the fact that virtually all your problems are due to a chronic deficiency in reward, or a perpetual state of not being rewarded enough.

It’s time we laid the foundations of what our ancestors called self-help, because it’s almost non-existent at this moment in human history.

Don’t let them make you forget who you really are.

Don’t let the common current be yourself narrative that’s all about the subjective opinion and taste of different people make you think that this is all there is when it comes to being yourself and not pandering to the system. There’s more to the story. You and I know that there’s deeper and more important stuff about yourself that you should not hide anymore in the name of being humble, politically correct, nice, or not selfish, or any of that abusive or abuse justifying crap. Stop resisting carrying the burden of the responsibility of being competent. Being special or exceptional isn’t something that passively runs inside of us all the time for free. It’s something that we have to push ourselves to keep activating it all the time. It’s something that we rise to, not something that comes to us. It’s not skill or being able to overcome obstacles or hurdles, it’s not something that makes you win more at life. It’s being more alive, with greater potential and capabilities, even if you can’t extend that to external results. Even if you can’t win at anything because of or by relying on any of that. Understand that it’s not that you can win others or produce external outcomes that impress others or that others can’t do as easily. It’s about you being capable of stuff that occurs inside of you that others cannot even understand or don’t even believe such things can exist. If you keep focusing on wining outside regardless of how good you are, you’ll become good at winning in life or overcoming common struggles or challenges. You’ll be a greater, better, or more competent person. But you will not necessarily remain great in terms of intelligence and cognitive ability. Realize that this may not be all that matters, but nothing can matter, and nothing can have any kind of meaning without you holding on to your unique greatness, which is your creative potential, cognitive ability, general intelligence, …etc. You will not even become like an average person. You will be nothing at all. Because the average person is on fire all the time. This is their 100%. But you are running on zero percent all the time. And you can’t be better at anything than anyone else as long as this is the case. The point that I want you to get here is that you should stop hiding or holding back your uniqueness just to not offend anybody. I want you to unleash. Be fully you, not just the parts of you that will appeal to the general population. You know you’re better than that. Stop pushing yourself like others through pure motivation and brute or crude strength of will only, and start relying on your cognitive super powers, for once!

Cast aside that intelligence neutral or indifferent motivational material and give in to who you really are. Stop being ashamed of being smarter than the rest of us!
