If you don’t have fun guaranteed after hard work, you will never be able to work hard towards your goals or fixing your life. You can’t keep pushing yourself forever, even if you have no choice, or it’s the most important thing ever. You need to enjoy yourself after any session of hard work until you start feeling a difference. Until you start enjoying yourself. Until you start to feel good again, because of what you’re doing now to have fun after work, not because of the sense of accomplishment that you have because of what you’ve accomplished today at work or because of making progress in what you were working on earlier today. Not because of making progress, but because you’re starting to feel good again with disregard to making progress. If you tried to have fun for too long but you still didn’t feel good, it doesn’t count. You don’t need a break from work where the mere absence of work is enough. You need to have fun and enjoy yourself and feel good for reasons that have nothing to do with work or your highest calling. If you still feel bad afterwards, it doesn’t count. You need to keep going, until you start feeling good again. All of the above has nothing to do with rest and sleep. For some reason you decided to live a life that is just alternating work and rest, with no having fun or pleasurable activities in between whatsoever.
