Focus on making kills, while never dying, like there’s no tomorrow, and then you’ll escape low MMR DotA 2, for good. You must be kill oriented, as opposed to farm oriented, from the start, to climb out of the entirety of low MMR, for good. There’s no amount of fundamentals that you can fix without that, that can reliably make you accomplish that objective.
I know Kung-fu.
Show me. ~ Morpheus
I’ll kill them, I’ll kill them all. ~ John Wick, Chapter 2
What are you trying to say to me, that I can farm like Arteezy?
I say when you’re ready, you won’t have to. ~ Morpheus
What if I told you, that you’ve been lied to, all your life, when it comes to winning in DotA, gaining MMR, climbing out of low MMR, even climbing behavior score. You were told that you need to fix your fundamentals, and make less mistakes.
You were deceived.. And now, your republic, shall fall. ~ Darth Malgus
What if I told you, that the secret to becoming immortal, becoming better at DotA, fixing your MMR, behavior score, match quality, everything, is all about, how good you are at making kills, or making kills happen.
Nothing else WHATSOEVER matters, when it comes to DotA.
Perhaps, in League of Legends, it’s all about how well you perform in team fights, in a way that makes your teammates always more likely to win those team fights TOGETHER, with you, not solely because of you, but as you part of the bigger picture, like an army marching together as one towards victory.
But when it comes to DotA, it’s all about solo kill potential, whether those kills take place in team fights, or as solo pick offs randomly across the map because you know enemy antimage is still farming alone his own bot jungle at minute 30 while extremely low HP with not enough mana to blink away.
That sounds oddly specific.
The thing that I will always fail to fix in your brain is to make the switch so you can instead of last hit creeps without missing, you last hit heroes, without missing.
There’s no escape.. ~ Vader
Because for you, even people who are 11k plus MMR, the philosophical debate is all about should I farm, or join team fights and help the team so they don’t feed too much because they will then be playing 4 v 5 without you.
WRONG. ~ Jordan B. Peterson
You should never join team fights to “help”.
You should only join team fights to kill.
Fire at will!
To last hit enemy heroes. To farm kills. To make kills happen. To add a bunch of kills to your kill streak. To hunt for kills. Regardless of whether or not those kills can be considered as cleanup kills or not.
The question that you should be asking yourself instead is, Can I do this now?
If the answer is yes, then go for it. Go join those fights and make kills happen.
Then you will die. ~ Darth Vader
If the answer is no, then why are you so underfarmed to an extent that does not allow you to begin doing so, once the laning phase is over.
The difference between high immortal Phantom Assassin, and a low MMR one is, the first one thinks, I have my ulti now. I’ve reached level 6 on my hero. It’s time to farm kills.
The low MMR Phantom Assassin, on the other hand, thinks, I need battle fury, DeSo, BKB, and at least morbid mask, before I can fight or join team fights.
Same for antimage, I need Manta Style and battle fury and skull basher, and then I might consider joining team fights.
The high immortal antimage thinks, I have LEVEL 2 NOW, on my hero. It’s time for me to farm kills. I only need blink and mana drain to do so.
And he’s not doing this against level 30 six slotted enemy heroes. The enemy heroes are still at level 2 as well.
But look how early he is thinking about farming kills.
It is somewhere around minute 3. You, around minute 30.
That’s why he’s high immortal, and you’re not.
It has nothing to do with the fundamentals.
I’ve said this in the past, and I’m going to say this again. Kills are the most reliable thing ever in DotA 2.
Even in low MMR?
Especially in low MMR.
High immortals have given up on farming kills against each other in the laning phase, because they are all unkillable from the start. They just DON’T DIE.
Rule number one: Don’t die.
Rule number 2: Follow rule number one.
That’s why, their fundamentals, revolve around, playing as if you have no opponent. And farm until you’re strong enough to outfight high immortals.
In low MMR, there’s only one fundamental. Farm kills, from second one, until you’re ready to end the game. Until you win that one fight, where after you win it, all your teammates are still alive, and are strong enough to go end and go high ground, without worrying about buybacks or whatever. And nothing can stop them now.
You have no idea how slow 99.9% of the DotA 2 players are. The game itself slows their mental agility. You want to notice how slow you are? Play League, and look at people wondering, what’s wrong with this guy. He seems to not be intentionally griefing, and he’s doing EVERYTHING right, but he’s, he’s..
FREAKING SLOW!!
Look at rank 400 EU UNION ranked games. The people are INSANELY SLOW, but they don’t miss their spells, they do everything right, they make no mistakes. They wait for the right moment to jump in, they know how to play.
But they are doing everything, while in deep sleep mode. They are AFK in their heads, without griefing games, necessarily.
Don’t get me wrong. Not all DotA 2 players are slow, or too slow.
But this is like real estate.
Everybody else has maxed out on DotA 2 game knowledge (thank you BSJ), fundamentals, farming speed, fixing the laning phase, and the next level is, just pick meta heroes, copy the pros, and gain easy MMR, without the individual himself getting better!
And you want to compete with that. You want to out do them, when it comes to all that.
Good luck with that. There will always be someone, who can outfarm you, out CS you in the lane, or make less mistakes than you do.
But when it comes to speed, and making kills, or outfighting your enemies?
The sky is the limit, because no one is trying to do that, and what’s better than that is, they can’t, even if they wanted to, because they don’t have what it takes. They don’t have the intelligence, talent, creativity, cognitive ability, speed, wisdom, mental agility, or abilities, to compete with you. To outfight you.
For a simple reason, they are humans. They are part of humanity, and humanity sucks. At least when it comes to intelligence and cognitive ability. IQ.
You are part of the rebel alliance, and a traitor, take her away! ~ Darth Vader
It’s him, the anomaly, do we proceed? Yes, remember, he is still, only human. ~ Agents of the Matrix, upgrades
You said you would destroy the avengers, make a better world?
It will be better.
When everyone is dead? ~ Wanda
You must understand, that unless you are a total idiot, the entirety of the DotA 2 community or any community whatsoever, can’t be ahead of you, better than you, or above you in any sort of ranking system or dominance or competence hierarchy there is, no matter what.
It is because you refuse to resort to the one thing that you know makes you better than all of them combined.
Yourself.
You are not resorting to your talents, creativity, intelligence, knowledge, experience, wisdom, abilities, skills, and what makes you special. You are not resorting to your genius. You are not asking yourself what am I missing. How can I win those games. How can I get better. How can I get out of this mess and deal with this situation. How can I solve this problem. What should be done at the moment. You ask yourself what would Yatoro do if he was in my place.
The question should be, what can I, do, if I’m in Yatoro’s place.
No, I, am your father. ~ Darth Vader
You are not living up to your full potential.
It’s all Obi-Wan’s fault. He’s holding me back! ~ Anakin Skywalker
You don’t need guidance, Anakin. In time, you will learn to trust your feelings. ~ Darth Sidious
You are source. The answer has to come from you.
No more training, do you require. Already know that, which you need. ~ Master Yoda
You just mastered the fundamentals, but nothing has happened since then. Nothing has changed. You did not evolve. You did not improve, grow, or get any better. You did not unlock or reach, or even come close to, your full potential.
That was dramatic. I’m sorry I know you mean well, you just didn’t think it through. You want to protect the world, but you don’t want it to change. How could humanity be saved, if it’s not allowed to, evolve? ~ Ultron
You do not change, you do not get smarter, better, or faster, you do not evolve.
You just FIX YOUR MISTAKES. LIKE THE SCHOOLING SYSTEM HAS TAUGHT YOU.
As opposed to honing your talent. Focusing on how can I, upgrade my speed. Become better, stronger, faster. Improve, grow, and develop myself to a better and higher level and version of myself. Reach my full potential.
Hmmm, upgrades. ~ Neo
This is the disastrous situation we arrived at, because the pros are all salivating over the insanely huge TI prize pool, at least in the past, and that made DotA all about what can I exploit. What can I do to trick the enemy into a trap they never predicted or anticipated, and that’s how they will lose.
As opposed to, we’ll try our best, and so will our enemies, and the guys with the most talent, speed, wisdom, intelligence, knowledge, experience, and better skills, training, coordination, and strategy, will always win.
As opposed to, how can I get better, as in stronger in the force, and then I’ll end up winning more.
How can I reach my full potential, and then worry about MMR.
You tend to get out of the griefer pool and the system “forgives” you the second you start being kill oriented from the start, otherwise, you’re disruptive, because you are not playing the game the way the developers intend it to be. It’s the only way out of the smurf pool and the griefer pool, to become kill oriented from the start.
That’s why it has been becoming harder and harder to solo carry the game through AFK farming alone since a decade ago.
That’s why you couldn’t destroy me. ~ Luke Skywalker
Look at ALL PEOPLE SMURFING, what do they have in common.
They all follow my formula. They all farm kills from the start, as early as level one.
And how they win? They make average 60 kills every single game, almost ZERO deaths, and one billion assists.
They don’t AFK farm until six slotted, and then join team fights, in the hopes of turning the tide of the battle, because they are now slightly stronger than the enemy, and they have a little networth advantage over the enemy.
When I told Zquixotix you are WRONG, in his face, he intentionally misrepresented me for views, to an extent that made him intentionally misunderstand me, in order to defend himself and have fun with the viewers at the expense of a random dude who pointed out the obvious.
You will NEVER get out of low MMR, unless you look at low MMR people and can’t help but think to yourself, hmmm, easy kills.
This was my stance. It simply says of course we need more than the laning fundamentals, to get out of Herald and the entirety of low MMR. Stating in public that you simply don’t need more than that, is misleading the masses to say the least.
But Peter, I fixed my fundamentals and gained MMR?
It’s because you were losing because of bad fundamentals, but the core skills that you are taking for granted, that you can never climb without, you already had that built in. It came naturally to you. That’s why you were always entitled to climb MMR. That’s why you always thought I never belonged to my MMR bracket.
You wouldn’t have that dream in your heart, if you didn’t already have what it takes to make it happen. ~ Marie Forleo
Kills are the most reliable thing in DotA 2, ever. It’s time for you to stop walking on eggshells, and start playing the game.
But I don’t wanna die!
It’s not dying you need to be afraid of, it’s not having lived in the first place. ~ The Green Hornet
