It’s not about writing your goals down. It’s about having goals in the first place.

The number one problem you might encounter while trying to write down your goals is: oh my God, I don’t have any goals. What am I gonna write down?

Then you may think that this is because writing goals down is useless or doesn’t work.

There sure is a ton of stuff that is on your plate today, but you will do them anyway without putting them down somewhere.

This is because you’re doing it wrong.

It’s not a question of writing down your goals that you have already.

It’s a matter of coming up with goals that are worthy of being written down, and then you write them down somewhere.

It’s like you’re handed out an empty piece of paper, and your job is to fill it out with goals that you can do today. Not that you have some things to do today so you’d better put them on a to-do list lest you’d forget them or something.

Sit down, think of what could be a good idea to be accomplished today, and put that stuff down on a to-do list of what you’re supposed to do today, currently, or these days.

You don’t already have goals for today, you create them from scratch, and then you write these goals down on the to-do list of what you’re supposed to do today, currently, or these days.
