Don’t be afraid of the fact that what you post might not provide anyone else with value. Concern yourself with putting out correct and accurate stuff, with disregard to whether or not this will bring value to or benefit anybody. This, my friend, will guarantee that what you do will bring maximum value and benefit to the whole world, because the intention of wanting to help others will want you to put out stuff that makes you get feedback from people telling you how much what you’ve said has changed their lives. But when you post stuff that you know is true, you will try to put out stuff that is really true regardless of the effect it has on others, or the feedback you get from them. This ironically enough brings most value, benefit, and change to the whole world, because the world needs the information that truly helps and works. Aim for value and you’d throw away almost all of what you have to say because you want them to get value, so this means rejecting great stuff because it might not fulfill the criteria of this is what the world needs right now. Aim for discovering true and accurate stuff that actually works and can really help and change lives, and you won’t be that selective with what you put out. This would dramatically enhance your creativity, and lead to you becoming more productive instead of eliminative or selective with your work, ending up providing the world with more value, help, and real benefit in the process. It’s a paradox. Aim for providing people with value, and you’ll miss the target and end up suffering from hyper-inhibition and becoming too selective and rejecting with what you say. Aim for saying great or correct stuff only, and you’ll end up achieving the goal of providing value way more than you could imagine. That’s why not giving a damn about what other people think is essential. It doesn’t only include hate and annoying comments. It includes pandering to what they would consider to be more helpful, valuable, or benefitial, and that happens automatically when you start thinking what could I post today that will bring people value. You will then be thinking with their minds and deciding what to put out according to what and how they think, not according to what you really think is something great.
