Aim for attaining absolute mastery, on a new hero, not winning, and all your MMR pressure problems will be solved. You’ve done it before on a certain hero, or a handful of heroes. But have you done that, on every single hero? That’s what’s keeping you up restless all night long, not MMR gain. Leave no hero behind. Master every single one of them, and then we can talk about MMR.
Stop chasing the high of MMR, or winning in general.
It does not lead to anything permanent.
Only mastering a new carry hero, and learning how to own with that hero, in a way that makes you look and say, I amaze myself, truly matters.
This is why you don’t gain MMR. You’re autopilotting on your single main hero, or 3 heroes, and you’re BORED. So you don’t perform at your best. And that’s why you lose.
Wondering when will you ever play on that hero 1 v 9 easy and shred your enemies to pieces like you used to. Why isn’t it happening again. What’s wrong with me.
Nothing.
You already proved your point. You already surpassed Yatoro on that hero in every way imaginable.
You don’t want to repeat that ad infinitum, until you hit 17k MMR, or high immortal.
You want to transfer that power, that mastery, to other heroes.
You feel like you’re disowning yourself when you do.
Like you decided, if you can’t beat them, then it’s better to join them.
But the only time you feel something new has finally happened, is when you realize you were stuck with the wrong heroes all your life, for when you have tried the new hero, you have felt more powerful than you’ve ever been before.
That is the purpose of life. That is, DotA.
