Sometimes you are forced to go through an entire year where you feel you have no control over your time or life, no matter what you do. It’s like you’re in the military service or prison or something. Sometimes it’s a boring job where you can’t afford to quit at the moment because you need the money. Sometimes it’s a random thing that is just time consuming that you have to deal with on a day-to-day basis. It could be any kind of annoying thing that makes you unable to be productive, or remain in a good mood for long every single day. During that wasted time or period in your life, which again could be years, you are supposed to do nothing but focus on how can I get out of this period in my life with maximum or the highest productivity and rate of growth, progress, achievement, and success possible.
I know people nowadays demonize making everything about success. But during those dark periods of your life, you have to focus on nothing but success. Productivity, achievement, accomplishment, success, high performance, and progress, should all be your highest priority, during any time or period of your life, where you feel that no matter what you do, your time or life is being wasted anyway, against your will, no matter what you do, through no fault of your own. Everything should be about moving the needle forward, at maximum rate humanly possible, by any means necessary.
You have to make it so whenever you look back at this dark period of your life, you cannot afford to say anything but, you certainly couldn’t have been more creative, productive, and successful in your life, even if you had all the time in the world. You couldn’t have made more progress in any given year, more than you did in any single year of those dark years, even if you had total control over your life and time. Even if you had all the time in the world to do whatever you want, whenever you wanted, as much as you wanted. You couldn’t have accomplished or achieved more in that same period of time, no matter what you do. It couldn’t have been better. You made the most out of it, despite the horrible circumstances, against all odds.
They couldn’t stop you, and that’s what matters. You remained who you are, during all those years. You made the most out of those years, despite everything. You can’t look back at those years and think they were years that were totally wasted. You will be mind-blown by all the progress you’ve made and how far you’ve come, because even if you had nothing, nothing standing in your way, you couldn’t have been more creative or productive, no matter what.
