Accepting everything for what it is in the name of it being about the journey is the pathway to settling for mediocrity and being okay with being a failure or a loser. Loving the journey decouples the meaning of wanting your life or anything to be better from anything that you do. It makes it pointless to improve, now that you are happy with anything bad the way it is. Why interfere with the inherent beauty found in every trash can you are shoved inside by fate? If you do not aspire to become great, to become better, why would you want to make anything in your life or the lives of others better? Notice that the nihilistic and post-modernist philosophies have leaked into the minds of many self-help authors, professionals, and gurus. These regressive philosophies make them view the proposition of being okay with whatever terrible conditions and circumstances that you may find yourself trapped or stuck in as a blessing as not so preposterous, ridiculous, outrageous, insensitive, naive, insecure, or atrocious. It justifies not bothering to attempt to solve any problem, or fix anything at all, because everything is just perfect the way it is. You just don’t see it, because your mindset is the problem. Everything is epic as exactly as it is regardless of how it actually is. And so there’s no reason to try to interfere with how everything has ended up being already. Things could’ve been worse and you can never know whether or not the alternative that you aspired to fulfill or reach someday would’ve been better. There’s no proof of that because according to these stone age mentality people, you can only prove stuff to be factual or correct by going through it yourself and experiencing it first hand. Anything else is just assumptions, subjective, opinion, and could be wrong. To them the world is just apples and oranges. Everything is beautiful. Nothing is ugly. It’s just your perspective, mindset, paradigm, or whatever universal distortion of verifiable at the reptile brain level facts of nature and reality they are perpetually interested in selling us for some goddam reason you’re too tired to look deep into. For some reason this useless delusion appeals to the majority of people because the last thing they want from you is to use your mental faculties and capacities to their fullest or to the maximum. The last thing they want from you is to give an excuse as to why you are failing at something. Failure is forbidden. You should or are expected to keep working like a lifeless machine or a cog in the wheel endlessly without ever complaining about anything. How dare you complain, be apathetic, or dream of being comfortable? Are you rich? Do it with your own money, or else shut up and keep working and pushing yourself to no limit or to death, or else you’ll be considered a horrible excuse of a human being. Even failure is under attack. It’s just lessons learned and experience. You gain something positive from what literally means no positive gain whatsoever from the effort exerted if the word is ever used properly. Not to mention religion role here, because everything is for your own good, even natural disasters, genocide, and catastrophes on a global scale. Everything is part of God almighty’s plan. You just don’t know it because you’re incapable of grasping everything because you’re human. You’re lacking by nature. And there’s nothing you can do about it. God will always be right and you’re going to be always wrong. God is mysterious. You can call that thought dictatorship or even mental rape if you want. Also aside from these two forces tearing the field of self-help apart, perhaps even from the start, the original founders of self-help are still to be blamed. They told you stuff that would make their material have the potential to work for and be applied by virtually everyone. If the solution is to modify your mindset, then what’s your excuse? You can do it in the same sitting. You can apply it right away. And if these strategies don’t lead to the benefits being preached by these experts, then it’s your fault. You’re not doing it right. But you can’t criticize that by calling this unfalsifiable because they’re elevating the disclaimer that their claims are not scientific in nature in your face. The problem isn’t with society or other people. The problem is not the environment or anything that exists outside your body. Because if the problem is with society then that’s god forbid politics. And they are friendly people. They don’t talk about politics. If the solution is to realize there are things in the outside world that need to be fixed then many would say they can’t. Their target audience would then shrink dramatically. But what’s your excuse when the formula for success is stuff confined to your own skull? It’s all about you. Nothing in your real or external worlds should change. And the end result is that we got people who succeeded and attributed their own success to their new mindset. Even though this may have nothing to do with their success in any way, shape, or form. They just succeeded with a smile on their face, when the end result would have been accomplished with the same likelihood even if they didn’t give a damn about their mindset or emotions in the process or while struggling so hard to get there. While the overwhelming majority of people who modified their mindset and didn’t receive the promised blessings are treated the same way as those who prayed but still nothing happened anyway. You just didn’t pray hard enough, or you’re too hasty. God has a plan for you. You didn’t fix your mindset right or well enough. There’s still some negativity in your head, heart, soul, or energy. It’s your fault. I’m not telling you that you should treat yourself as a helpless victim. But it’s your fault here means that it’s not due to the circumstances, conditions, environment, or situation you’re in right now. It’s all intrinsic. It’s the fault of how you approach and look at things, not the fault of the external things themselves. It’s not the incredible noise that’s disturbing you, it’s you focusing on the noise and letting it put you in a bad mood. How can you not accept anything the way it is if this is the case? If this is how you think? There’s also the meditation wave that makes you passive in the face of everything. There’s also people who don’t want to know the truth or actually figure out stuff that helps, works, or solves our problems. Why would you try to make anything better if everything is the best it could ever be as it is, or in whatever way you may happen to find it, even if it is actually or objectively the worst thing possible or at its worst state possible. If you should just enjoy the journey even if it’s pure torture, why aspire to get to the end result that you’re working so hard to reach someday? Why work towards achieving anything if the journey is enjoyable, great, or epic anyway, regardless of what the journey is, or how bad or hard the journey or the way to achieving those goals or results is? Why bother doing anything worthwhile that is hard or heavy if every single moment you go through along the way is epic anyway the way it is with or without this journey culminating in or leading to accomplishing this goal in the end? Why bother making anything better, if you could force yourself into becoming happy regardless of your circumstances, conditions, problems, situation, or objective external reality.
I don’t want you to cry in the face of problems. But I don’t want you to smile or laugh either. I just want you to fix them, even with ultimate emotional indifference toward them.
